Pink Prison is considered groundbreaking and "female friendly" classified pornographic film , that of the company Innocent Pictures with Zentropa after established by this pussy-power manifesto was filmed. This goes hand in hand with renouncing violence and focusing on feeling and sensuality, in contrast to arbitrary sex scenes.

The film was shot on the pink- painted prison set of the film Dancer in the Dark by Lars von Trier . The main actress, Katja Kean , only began acting in porn films in 1997 and ended this career after only a few films in order to then work as an actress and lingerie designer.

reception

In her book X - Porno für Frauen , Erika Lust describes the film as "a special feature in the author's cinema of pornography". Above all, she emphasizes the cooperation with the production company Zentropa , founded by Lars von Trier , who have made a name for themselves as independent producers with a few feminist porn film presentations such as Constance (1998), Pink Prison (1999) and All About Anna (2005). A dream scene in which the leading actress imagines being "fucked by three men at the same time" in the prison shower is shown to be particularly successful, as is the scene in which she observes two men through the bars during same-sex anal intercourse. According to their assessment, the script goes “far beyond the knitting pattern of a classic porn film, in which one sex scene is usually followed by another. You watch Pink Prison until the end because you want to know how it will turn out. ”She sums up:“ The film is almost too good as a template. ”

According to max.de, the website of the lifestyle magazine Max , "the strip is considered to be groundbreaking in a new terrain: pornography for heterosexual women", in which the producers tried to "transform female sex fantasies into hardcore images." The magazine continues: “Unlike most cheap productions, the Pink Prison actors are extremely attractive: Instead of brightly made-up bellows and dull-cheeked studs, they look like the press spokeswoman for a fashion company who meets with the brothers of George Clooney and Antonio Banderas . The so-called X-scenes are shown in atmospheric light without gynecological detail fixation, and there is time for the cigarette afterwards. "

In the review of the website sexfilme-fuer-frauen.de, the film received a rating of 7.5 out of 10 possible points and is described as a “boon in the land of porn films”. One of the most exciting scenes is described as a scene in the prison kitchen in which “Mila and the cook [pamper] each other with whipped cream, fruit and other goodies, the act of love and the tasting being interwoven.” The outcome of the film is surprising In addition, the colors and images are assessed as beautiful and the background music as supportive and never surprising.

Pink Prison was one of the films that helped legalize porn film in Norway on March 12, 2006, due to the largely positive reviews. As a result of a lawsuit against the ban on the films Constanze , Pink Prison and Zazel: The Scent of Love , the ban on the films was lifted.
