The Pisang (also Pisang Peak ) is a mountain in the Himalayas in Nepal .
The Pisang is located in the extreme southeast of the Damodar Himal north of the Annapurna massif . Pisang is located on the southern flank on the upper reaches of the Marsyangdi . The Pisang has a pyramid-shaped peak with a height of 6091 m . The mountain ridge continues to the Chulu to the west . The Pisang is considered a relatively easy trekking summit , which is above the 6000 m mark and offers a unique view of the Annapurna Himal to the south. The ascent requires appropriate ice equipment and a permit. The 6981 m high Kang Guru is 11 km to the east. The 7937 m high Annapurna II is 14 km south-southwest of the Pisang.
The Pisang was first climbed in 1955 by the German alpinist Jürgen Wellenkamp .
On November 13, 1994, there was an avalanche accident on Pisang. Eleven participants on a mountain tour organized by the DAV Summit Club were killed.
