Pivonice (German Piwonitz ) is a district of the city of Bystřice nad Pernštejnem in the Czech Republic . It is located four kilometers northeast of Bystřice nad Pernštejnem and belongs to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou . The village is located in the triangle of castle ruins Pyšolec , Zubštejn and Aueršperk .

geography

Pivonice is located on the Nedvědická vrchovina mountains in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands and belongs to the Svratecká hornatina nature park. The village lies on the right side above the Bystřice valley at the foot of the Zubštejn castle ruins. To the east rises the Zubrštejn ( Zuberstein , 687 m) and to the southeast the Jahodná (586 m).

Neighboring towns are Hrdá Ves and Vír in the north, Kobylnice in the northeast, Koroužné in the east, Švařec and Borovec in the southeast, Kozlov in the south, Lesoňovice in the southwest, Dvořiště in the west and Jitřenka, Ždánice and Karasín in the northwest.

history

The village belonging to the Zubsteiner estates was first mentioned in 1358. Later the village was attached to the Pysselecz rule and, after the castle was destroyed during the War of the Bohemian-Hungarian Succession, it came to the Bystřice rule at the end of the 15th century.

After the abolition of patrimonial Pivonice formed a community in the Neustadtl district from 1850 . In 1949 the community came to Okres Bystřice nad Pernštejnem. At the beginning of 1961 Pivonice was incorporated into Lesoňovice and at the same time assigned to the Okres Žďár nad Sázavou . Pivonice has been a part of Bystřice nad Pernštejnem since 1980. In 1991 the place had 63 inhabitants. In 2001 the village consisted of 37 houses in which 75 people lived.

  • Chapel of St. Anna, the chapel on the village square was built in the 13th century. It received its present form during the renovation in 1771.
