history

Plansee SE was founded in 1921 as Metallwerk Plansee Ges.mbH by Paul Schwarzkopf and at that time produced molybdenum and tungsten wires. In 1936 the Metallwerk Plansee became the property of Deutsche Edelstahlwerke AG, before Paul Schwarzkopf became the sole owner of Metallwerk Plansee Ges.mbH again in 1952. From the 1970s, Plansee SE founded numerous sales companies in Japan (1978), Germany (1979), Great Britain (1980), France (1981), Switzerland (1987), the Netherlands (1992) and India (1995), Taiwan (2001) , Sweden and Brazil (2002), Hong Kong, China and Korea (2004), Italy and Mexico (2007).

In the course of history, Plansee SE also took over numerous companies, including Elektro-Metall AG (today PLANSEE Powertech AG) in Seon in Switzerland in 1987 . In 2003, the POLESE Company, Inc. in San Diego, USA (today Plansee Thermal Management Solutions) was taken over, and in 2007 E / G Electrograph Inc., based in San Diego , USA, was taken over. The last takeovers took place in 2010 with Wolfra-Tech Pvt. Ltd. in Mysore , India and in 2011 with TCB Korea Co., Ltd. in Korea.
