|
The hamlet of Plinz is part of the municipality of Milda in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia .
geography
Plinz is just before the end of the elongated valley of the Koppelgraben , which flows into the Saale . The hamlet can be reached via the federal highway 88 with a branch towards Altendorf - Altenberga and from Jena via Milda.
history
Plinz is a hamlet in the valley that was first mentioned on January 14, 1427. Its residents once operated agriculture and forestry. In the building of the former Plinzmühle and on the grounds of the hamlet, a gallery now exhibits art objects and ceramics and offers them to visitors. The humorous "Garden of Silence" is particularly original.
