Podunajsko
The (tourism) region Podunajsko (Slovak Podunajský región (cestovného ruchu) ; literally "Danube region (tourism) region") refers to a tourism region of Slovakia in the southern border region with Hungary . The word Podunajsko also generally refers to the area along the Danube.
The region covers the southern parts of the Danube lowlands and extends to the administrative districts:
- Dunajská Streda
- Komarno
- Nové Zámky (southeastern part with the municipalities of Bajtava , Belá , Bíňa , Bruty , Gbelce , Chľaba , Kamenica nad Hronom , Kamenín , Kamenný Most , Leľa , Ľubá , Malá nad Hronom , Malé Kosihy , Mužla , Nána , Nová Vieska , Pavlová , Salka , Sikenička , Strekov , Svodín , Šarkan and the city of Štúrovo )
- Senec (only the municipalities of Hamuliakovo and Kalinkovo )
