Mužla (Hungarian Muzsla ) is a municipality in southwestern Slovakia . It is located in the Danube Plain , about ten kilometers west of Štúrovo .
The place was first mentioned in writing in 1156 as Mosula .
Until 1918 the community in Gran County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary (there it was the seat of the chair district administration of the chair district Párkány / Štúrovo) and then came to the newly formed Czechoslovakia . She came back to Hungary for a short time from 1938 to 1945 through the First Vienna Arbitration .
Of the inhabitants living in the village, 85% are of Hungarian and 14% of Slovak descent (as of 2001). The catholic church from 1332 is worth seeing.
In addition to the main town, the municipality also includes Malá Mužla (Hungarian Kismuzsla ), Čenkov (Hungarian Csenke ) and Jurský Chlm (Hungarian Szentgyörgyhalma ).
