Mark Poepping
Mark Poepping (born November 13, 1974 in Ochtrup ) is a German director . Together with the cameraman Mako Antonissen, he ran the mmpro in 1999. film and media production founded.
After studying economics at the universities of Paderborn , Bonn and Hagen and intermediate positions in the broadcasting line of the WDR as well as public relations work for the children's series Schloss Einstein , Mark Poepping learned his directorial trade as a student of the documentary filmmaker Konrad Herrmann, with whom he made several films. His debut film Wind macht Arbeit won the 2003 electricity meter award .
The film Time for More , a documentary about all-day schools in Germany, which he directed together with Roman Schikorsky , premiered in February 2007 as part of the didacta education fair and was published in December 2007 by Beltz-Verlag under the same title as a book . Since then he has worked on numerous projects in the education sector , including for the Vodafone Foundation's Buddy Project and the Schools on the Net project .
Mark Poepping is currently working intensively on building a platform for mini documentations on the web. A network of video journalists from all over the world produces articles for tiva.tv , the name of the platform that stands for the international videojournalist agency . tiva.tv licenses articles to online portals , newspapers , magazines , cell phone providers and IPTV providers. tiva.tv has set itself the goal of contributing to the democratization of the media by offering a large number of journalists the opportunity to work internationally and tell their stories.
