action

Duncan Vizla, known as "Black Kaiser", is a hit man and agent for an organization called "Damocles". The rules require that he retire on his 50th birthday. He should get eight million dollars if he doesn't die first. So, two weeks before the deadline, he moves to wintry Montana to have some peace and quiet.

A few days before his milestone birthday, Duncan gets another job, which he accepts reluctantly, and learns that this job is a trap for him: The company "Damocles" has money problems and needs the money of its employees from the pension fund to keep the company running can be resold. "Blood", as the head of the company calls himself, guarantees the future owners that no one will make use of the pension fund, because all the agents who come into question should die. The "A-Team", a group of particularly unscrupulous killers, is assigned to Duncan. However, the search initially remains unsuccessful.

Over time, in the loneliness of Montana, Duncan gets to know his neighbor Camille, who lives in a house several hundred meters next to him. She is very insecure, reserved and jumpy. He pretends to be a mobile undertaker who has traveled a lot. Camille tells him she was molested when she was 13.

After a while, Damocles' team finds Duncan in Montana and sets a trap for him with the pretty Sindy. However, he can stand up to the team in battle and finds out that a team member has kidnapped Camille. Duncan learns from an old colleague, Porter, that there is “blood” behind the attacks on his life. But he is stunned by Porter before he can set off. Duncan wakes up in the torture cellar of "Blood" and is cruelly and painfully slowly tortured by him in the last few days before his birthday. On the third day, the day immediately before his birthday, he can free himself from his bonds and assert himself against his guards. He struggles with difficulty, clearly marked by the torture, through the house to freedom, but without being able to take Camille with him.

With the help of a friend, he can recover to such an extent that he can eventually return to "Blood" to free Camille. When she is also back in strength, it turns out that Camille survived an attack by Duncan as a child, which was actually aimed at her father. Duncan, feeling guilty, has since secretly raised several thousand dollars for Camille. This is how she came across him while tracing the money. Since she cannot kill him, they forge a plan to find the real man behind the job from back then together.
