Pomorsko ( German : Pommerzig ) is a village with about 600 inhabitants in the Polish rural community Sulechów ( Züllichau ) in western Poland about 10 kilometers west of Sulechów and 12 kilometers north of Zielona Góra ( Grünberg ).

history

The nearby crab mill belonged to the miller Arnold in the 18th century, who brought the king to intervene in his favor through his complaint to King Frederick the Great about allegedly unjust court decisions in the dispute with his landlord Count Schmettau ( Müller-Arnold case ).

Until 1945 the place was called Pommerzig in the district of Crossen , Province of Brandenburg . The districts Krebsmühle, Mittelvorwerk ( Łuszczyn ), Pommerzig Castle and Valeskahof ( Dobrzęcin ) belonged to Pommerzig .

traffic

Pomorsko is connected to Krosno Odrzańskie to the west by roads 276 and 278 and to Sulechów to the east by road 278.

To the south it is connected to Zielona Góra by road 281, which is interrupted by a ferry connection. The ferry runs daily from approx. Sunrise to sunset - the crossing is free. In bad weather such as storms, hail or floods, the ferry service stops.

It is still unclear when a bridge will be built over the Oder at this point. As an alternative route to Grünberg, it is possible to take the road 278 to Sulechów and from there take the federal road 32 and expressway 3.
