The Possendorfer Bach is a tributary of the Lockwitzbach . course

The headwaters of the Possendorfer Bach are located in the south-eastern valley cut parallel to the federal road 170 above the church of Possendorf. Its narrow course runs through the old town center and is accompanied in parts by the Bachweg. Two short watercourses form further small tributaries of the Possendorfer Bach flowing eastwards on the eastern edge of the built-up area at a height of about 259 m above sea level. The now gently sloping valley basin between Spitzberg in the south and the Hornschenke in the north leads the course of the stream in the direction of the Kleinkleba group of houses and slowly swings to the southeast. The Rundweiler Brösgen on the southern slope of the valley is passed. Now the steep slope of the northern valley slope is increasing. The stream flows between Kleba and Theisewitz , where it is crossed by a country road that connects the two villages.

On the right bank flows into the meadows of the Vorwerk Theisewitz high above the valley floor at 203 m above sea level. M. its only larger lateral tributary, the Huhle or Lauebach coming from the direction of Kleincarsdorf . Then the Possendorfer Bach swings almost in a southerly direction and thereby reaches the valley widening of the Lockwitzbach opposite Gombsen . At about 182 m above sea level. M. it flows into the Lockwitzbach near a silting zone of the reed pond. Shortly before its confluence, a former, now dry Mühlgraben branches off from the Possendorfer Bach, which crosses the road between the Lockwitztal and the village of Kautzsch an der Brandmühle and then also arrives at the Lockwitzbach.
