Brösgen is a district of the Saxon community Kreischa in the district of Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains .
geography
Brösgen is located south of the state capital Dresden and northwest of Kreischa. The Rundweiler, made up of a few buildings, is grouped in a depression that, as a basin of an insignificant tributary of the Possendorfer Bach on the western slope of its valley, offered the homesteads protection. Some properties and their gates still bear clearly recognizable features of rural architecture from the 18th century.

history
The first documentary mention of Brösgen comes from the year 1362. In 1440 the place belonged to the care Rabenau , from 1590 to the office of Dippoldiswalde . In 1696 administrative affiliation was with the Dresden office . After that, the place belonged to the Dippoldiswalde court office from 1856 to 1875 , then to the office of the same name . In 1936 Brösgen was incorporated into Theisewitz . In 1952 the place became part of the Freital district (later the district ). With the incorporation of Theisewitz into Kreischa, Brösgen became a district of Kreischa . In the course of the district reform in Saxony in 1994 , Kreischa and its districts became part of the newly formed Weisseritz district from the districts of Freital and Dippoldiswalde . This merged on August 1st, 2008 with the district of Saxon Switzerland to form the district of Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains .
