Praise Idamadudu (born December 18, 1998 in Ovu ) is a Nigerian sprinter who specializes in the 200- and 400-meter run .

Athletic career

Praise Idamadudu gained her first international experience at the 2014 African Youth Games in Gaborone , where she won the gold medal in the 200-meter run in 24.16 seconds. She then took part in the Junior World Championships in Eugene , reached the semi-finals over 200 meters and was disqualified over 400 meters in the preliminary run. In addition, she finished fifth with the Nigerian 4 x 400 meter relay in 3: 35.14 minutes. The following year she also won the relay in 3: 38.94 min at the Junior African Championships in Addis Ababa and also secured gold over 200 meters in 23.76 s. At the subsequent African Youth Championships in Moka , she won the gold medal in the sprint relay (1000 meters) in 2: 08.71 minutes and secured the silver medal over 200 meters in 23.79 seconds. At the Commonwealth Youth Games, in addition to the 200 meters, she also won the gold medal with the 4-by-100-meter and 4-by-400-meter relay.
