Prelios Deutschland GmbH is a real estate management company based in Hamburg and a 100% subsidiary of Prelios SpA in Italy .
The main activities are in Germany and concentrate on the classic real estate services for institutional and private owners such as asset management ( asset management ), property management ( real estate management ) and facility management of residential buildings and commercial properties as well as shopping center management.
As of June 30, 2013, the volume of assets under management (AUM; 'managed assets') was around € 3.8 billion. This includes around 50,000 apartments and 1.6 million square meters of retail and office space nationwide . In addition to Hamburg, there are 28 sales locations and regional offices nationwide.

Until October 2010, Prelios Germany operated as Pirelli & C. Real Estate Deutschland GmbH, or Pirelli RE Germany for short. The company was founded in Hamburg in 2007 as the legal successor to DGAG Deutsche Grundbesitz AG. The history of DGAG goes back to the founding of the housing association for home savers in Kiel in 1925.
From 2007 to 2012 the company was responsible for real estate management for the BauBeCon portfolio. The parent company acquired the housing stock in 2007 in a joint venture with RREEF (subsidiary of Deutsche Bank ). After the financing burst at the end of 2011, it was initially taken over by Barclays Investment Bank (formerly Barclays Capital) and finally sold to Deutsche Wohnen in 2012 .
Since 2008 Prelios Germany u. a. Co-asset manager for the Highstreet portfolio, a German department store portfolio in which Prelios SpA is involved through the international consortium Highstreet Holding .
In April 2012 the Italian parent company confirmed its intention to sell Prelios Germany. In March 2013, Prelios SpA finally announced that the German subsidiary would not be sold.
