Changes

After the 1907/08 season, the team of the México Fútbol Club withdrew from the league, so that the championship was held for the first time with only three teams.

Season course

The first game took place on October 11, 1908 between the Reforma Athletic Club and the Pachuca Athletic Club and was won 3-0 by the eventual champions RAC. In the last meeting, which was played on January 1, 1909, the same teams faced each other at the Campo del Velódromo in Pachuca. Since the RAC was only one point ahead of Pachuca, it was also a decisive game; because with a home win, Pachuca would have won his second title after 1906 , while any other result would have led the RAC to its goal. By 1-1 the Reforma Athletic Club won its third title and it was also the start of a series of four successes in a row.
