The Campeonato del Fútbol Centenario 1921 was a special tournament of the Primera Fuerza , which was held in August and September 1921 on the occasion of the celebrations of the centenary of Mexico's independence from Spanish colonial rule . In the final, of all things, the two “ Spanish ” teams from Real Club España and Club Asturias faced each other, which was linked by a traditional rivalry . The final ended when the game was abandoned after the Asturias team left the pitch prematurely. Then the Real Club España was declared the tournament winner.
