Prinkofen is a district of the Ergoldsbach market in the Lower Bavarian district of Landshut . Until 1972 it formed an independent municipality.

Prinkofen is about a kilometer north of the center of Ergoldsbach. The B 15n runs west of it .

history

First mentioned in documents in the 11th century, Prinkofen was later a Hofmark . The municipality of Prinkofen also originally consisted of a Hofmark and fiefdoms. In 1891 the municipalities of Prinkofen, Iffelkofen and Jellenkofen merged to form a new municipality that still included the hamlets of Salzburg, Poschenhof and Gnarn. It belonged to the district office Mallersdorf, from 1939 district Mallersdorf . On January 1, 1972, the municipality of Prinkofen was incorporated into the Ergoldsbach market.
