Paindlkofen is a district of the Ergoldsbach market in the Lower Bavarian district of Landshut . Until 1977 it formed an independent municipality.

location

Paindlkofen is about six kilometers east of the center of Ergoldsbach. The BAB 92 runs south of it .

history

Two prehistoric burial mounds northeast of the village bear witness to the early settlement of the area. Mentioned for the first time in documents as Painelchoven in 1296 , the place is mentioned as Painelkirchen in 1333 as part of a purchase.

The first news about the Hofmark Paindlkofen date from the 15th century. In 1425 Erhard Hauner sold the Hofmark, inherited from his cousin Ruger dem Hauner, to his cousin Peter den Flexöder. Lienhard Flexöder is referred to as a judge of Paindlkofen in 1448. In 1558 the Landshut forester Wolf von Asch was the lord of the court. Later owners of Hofmark Paindlkofen were Liegsalz, Lunghamer and, in the year of conscription in 1752, the Harscher. With the consent of his father-in-law Dominicus von Harscher, Johann Franz Michael von Hirneis took over the Hofmark in 1770. In 1783 it was bought by the Barons von Gumppenberg . Joseph Joachim von Gumppenberg, who received the estate from his mother, formed the Patrimonial Court 2nd class Paindlkofen according to the provisions of the municipal edict of 1818 , which existed until 1848.

In 1852 Paindlkofen had 36 families, 181 residents, a castle and 33 houses. The estate was auctioned in 1854 and the castle was demolished soon afterwards. On January 1, 1977, Paindlkofen was incorporated into the market town of Ergoldsbach as part of the regional reform in Bavaria . With the hamlets and wastelands of Stetten, Lernbag, Pechler, Roseneck and Ziegelhub, the municipality of Paindlkofen encompassed an area of 6.0 km² and 167 inhabitants when it was incorporated into the Ergoldsbach market. The population today is around 180. The renovated old school house is now privately owned.
