Schultaler gang train

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Schultaler Gangzug is a gait disorder in the northwestern Harz . The raw material deposits belonging to the Upper Harz ore veins only led to a small extent east of Altenau, lead luster and zinc blende , which were extracted in the 18th and 19th centuries . In the western course of the mine investigation work, the passage train was always found deaf . In the area around Clausthal-Zellerfeld , the Schultaler Gangzug gathers across diagonal and side corridors with the Burgstätter , Zellerfelder and Rosenhöfer Gangzug .

Crossing into Zellerfelder Gangzug or Princess Marier Gang north of the Polsterberger Zechenhaus - former Altenau train station - Scharing to the treasure chamber Gang in Altenau town center - Schultal - Mühlenberg - Tischlertal - Schachtkopf . Behind it, the further course has not been explored.

Paragenesis, peculiarities

The ore minerals used were little galena and sphalerite , more rarely chalcopyrite and pyrite . Classical gaits existed in the form of quartz , breccia and calcite .

Outcrops

Apart from pinging, there are no information about the course of a corridor beyond the surface or any other indications .

Overview of mining history

Investigations in the western area (Princess Marier Gang) were carried out, for example, by the eponymous Princess Marie mine or the Löwenburg mine .

To the east of Altenau between the Tischler and Scheidewassertal valleys , the Schultaler Gangzug was dismantled between 1711 and 1773 by the Altenauer Glück and Silberlilie pits, among others . To dissolve water and ventilate the area, the Schultaler deep tunnel was excavated to a length of 1,800 meters from 1716 to 1738 .
