Prix Peccot-Vimont

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Prix Peccot-Vimont (also short Prix Peccot) of the Collège de France is a prize awarded since 1885 for young mathematicians (age under 30 years).

It is also partially awarded to mathematicians who meet the requirement and give the lecture Cours Peccot at the Collège de France.

It is named after the young mathematician Claude-Antoine Peccot (a student of Joseph Bertrand at the Collège de France), whose family set up a foundation for this purpose.
