Profluralin is a chemical compound from the group of dinitrotoluidines and dinitroanilines .

Extraction and presentation

Profluralin can be obtained by a multi-stage reaction of cyclopropanecarbonyl chloride with propylamine , lithium aluminum hydride and 3,5-dinitro-4-chlorobenzotrifluoride (DTFB).

use

Profluralin was used as a pre-emergence herbicide . The effect is based on the inhibition of the formation of microtubules .

Admission

The active ingredient profluralin is not on the list of active ingredients of plant protection products permitted in the EU. In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, no plant protection product containing profluralin is permitted.
