Prollermühle is part of the Georgenberg community in the Upper Palatinate district in the Neustadt an der Waldnaab district .

Geographical location

Prollermühle is about five kilometers southwest of Georgenberg in the Zottbachtal , one kilometer south of the state road 2396 . The place is on the east side of the Zottbach.

Since 1821 Prollermühle (also: Prollermühl) was part of the municipality of Dimpfl. The municipality of Dimpfl included Dimpfl itself, Galsterlohe, Hammermühle, Kühtränk, Papiermühle, Prollermühle, Rehberg, Rehlohe and Schmidtlerschleif.

In 1867 Prollermühle had 4 buildings and 6 residents. Prollermühle belonged to the municipality of Dimpfl to the except Dimpfl itself with 123 inhabitants and 39 buildings, Galsterlohe (including brickworks) with 69 inhabitants and 10 buildings, hammer mill with 11 inhabitants and 3 buildings, Kühtränk with 11 inhabitants and 4 buildings, paper mill with 12 inhabitants and 4 buildings, Rehberg with 94 residents and 24 buildings, Rehloh with 9 residents and 3 buildings, Schmidtlerschleif with 25 residents and 4 buildings counted.

In 1970 a referendum on voluntary territorial reform took place. As a result, on January 1, 1971, the community of Dimpfl was incorporated into Georgenberg. In this way, Prollermühle also came to the community of Georgenberg.

Worth seeing

In Prollermühle there is a bridge over the Zottbach. The Glasschleiferweg runs on the western side of the Zottbach. This hiking trail leads south along the Zottbach via Hagenmühle to Pleystein. In a northerly direction it runs along the Zottbach via Neuenhammer to Georgenberg.
