Prollius (noble family)
Prollius is the name of one of Hessen originating Mecklenburg noble family .
history
The progenitor of the family originally from Hesse is Merten Proll (also Broll ), * around 1589, † 1659, farmer in Guxhagen near Kassel . The Mecklenburg bailiff Georg Friedrich Prollius, who had acquired the goods Kummin, Tessenow and Mühlenberg from von Bülow's bankruptcy after 1778, was raised to the imperial nobility in 1795 by Emperor Franz II . He is the ancestor of this family who owned estates in Mecklenburg and Pomerania .

coat of arms
The coat of arms from 1795 shows in a quartered shield of red, gold, silver and blue in the first field an inwardly turned golden lion, in the second a fallen red cornucopia with flowers missing, in the third a stalk with ears and in the fourth a golden double-headed eagle. On the helmet the double-headed eagle (also shown growing ); the helmet covers are red-gold on the right, blue-gold on the left.
