The province of Zarumilla is one of three provinces in the Tumbes region on the Pacific coast of northern Peru . The province has an area of 745.13 km². At the 2017 census, 48,844 people lived in the province. In 1993 the population was 26,754, in 2007 it was 41,054.
Geographical location
The province of Zarumilla borders the Pacific Ocean in the north , Tumbes province in the west, and Ecuador in the south and east .
Administrative division
The province of Zarumilla is divided into four districts ( distritos ). The district of Zarumilla is the seat of the provincial administration.
