The Puija ( Russian Пу́я ) is a left tributary of the Waga in the Arkhangelsk Oblast in northwestern Russia .

The Puija rises in the eastern foothills of the Njandoma heights . It flows through the two administrative districts of Wel and Schenkursk in an easterly direction. She later turns north. The M8 trunk road now runs along the eastern bank of the river. 9 km above the mouth, its most important tributary, the Sulanda , meets the Puija from the left. Finally the Puija flows into the left bank of the Waga at Aksjonowskaja .
