Pyributicarb is a chemical compound from the thiocarbamate group and a herbicide introduced by Tosoh in 1993 .

Extraction and presentation

Pyributicarb can be obtained from m - tert -butylphenol and thiophosgene . Their product reacts with 2-amino- N -methyl-6-methoxypyridine to form pytibuticarb.

use

Pyributicarb is used in rice cultivation. In addition to its herbicidal effect, it has a fungicidal side effect, which is why it is also used against fungal diseases in ornamental lawns. The compound works by inhibiting squalene epoxidase .
