Quách Công Lịch (born August 27, 1993 in Thanh Hóa ) is a Vietnamese sprinter and hurdler who specializes in the 400-meter distance.

Athletic career

Quách Công Lịch gained his first international experience in 2013 when he failed to finish his heat in the 400-meter run at the Southeast Asian Games in Naypyidaw . Two years later he won at the Southeast Asian Games in Singapore the silver medal over 400 meters behind the Thais in 46.02 s Kunanon Sukkaew , as in 50.29 s in the 400-meter hurdles behind the Filipinos Eric Cray . He also secured the bronze medal behind the teams from Thailand and the Philippines in the Vietnamese 4 x 400 meter relay in 3: 08.48 min. In the same year he also set a new national record over 400 meters in Chanthaburi with 45.99 s. In 2016 he finished sixth at the Indoor Asian Championships in Doha in 48.29 s, as well as at the 2017 Asian Athletics Championships in Bhubaneswar in 46.51 s. He then won the silver medal in the hurdles behind the Filipino Cray at the Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur with a new national record of 50.05 s and secured the bronze medal behind the Filipino Trenten Beram and Phitchaya Sunthonthuam from Thailand over 400 meters in 46.48 s . In addition, he won the silver medal behind Thailand with the relay with a new national record of 3: 07.40 minutes.

In 2018 he took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta for the first time, but was unable to finish his 400m hurdles there. The following year he won the bronze medal in the hurdles behind Cray and the Indonesian Halomoan Edwin Binsar at the Southeast Asian Games in Capas in 51.60 seconds . He also won the season in 3: 08.07 min.

In 2017 Quách was Vietnamese champion in the 400-meter run and in 2019 over 400 m hurdles. He is the brother of Quách Thị Lan , who is also successful as an athlete.
