Quaregna Cerreto is an Italian commune ( comune ) with 2044 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Biella (BI), Piedmont region . The municipality belongs to the Unione dei Comuni Colline e Rive del Cervo . The administrative headquarters are located in the Quaregna district .

geography

Quaregna Cerreto is about nine kilometers east of Biella . In the first half of the 20th century, there were train stations on the narrow-gauge railways from Biella to Cossato in the districts .

history

Quaregna Cerreto was formed on January 1, 2019 from the previously independent municipalities of Quaregna and Cerreto Castello . The administrative headquarters are in Quaregna.
