The Quenzgraben is an artificially created flowing body of water in the city of Brandenburg . It drains the Gördensee and the wetland of the southern Bohnenland-Görden-Rinne into the Quenzsee and over this into the Havel .
course
The ditch, which is almost 3.7 kilometers long, including the length of the lake, begins on the southern bank of Lake Gördensee. It initially runs in a south-easterly direction and follows the Bohnenland-Görden-Rinne formed during the Ice Age. In this glacial channel , lakes and wetlands formed, which in the southern part are drained by the Quenzgraben. After about 600 meters the ditch changes its direction to the south and after another 600 meters to the southwest. In the north of the Quenzsee the Quenzgraben finally flows into it. The trench has a catchment area of 11.41 square kilometers.
