The Quincy Bay is the southern and largest of the three bays in Boston Harbor called natural harbor in the Massachusetts Bay in the state of Massachusetts of the United States . It forms most of the shoreline of the eponymous city of Quincy .
The bay extends from Squantum and Dorchester Bay in the northwest to Hingham Bay in the southeast. To the southwest is Wollaston Beach . Quincy Shore Drive , one of the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation's parkways and part of the Metropolitan Park System of Greater Boston, runs along part of the coast for 2.1 mi (3.4 km ) . In the bay are the islands of Hangman Island , Long Island and Moon Island , which are part of the Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area .
