The Quincy Shore Drive is a little more than 3 mi (5 km long) coastal road in the city of Quincy in the state of Massachusetts of the United States . It was laid out in 1903 by the landscape architect Charles Eliot in collaboration with the Olmsted Brothers architecture firm and, on the occasion of its 100th anniversary, was added to the National Register of Historic Places as a Historic District in 2003. The street is administered by the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) and is part of the Metropolitan Park System of Greater Boston .
