description

There are many opportunities to be active in the park. These include hiking , bird watching , mountain biking and cross-country skiing . The sanctuary contains the largest remaining drinking water - marshland on the central Charles River, in which there is a narrow wooden path to an island.

Along the west side of Cutler Pond you can still see the place where the earth was removed in the 19th century to use as filler material for the Back Bay . A track was specially created for the transport, some of the tracks of which can still be seen at the north entrance to the park on Kendrick Street .
