The Blue Hills Parkway is a historic parkway in the state of Massachusetts of the United States , which in a straight line from a bridge over the Neponset River in the south of Boston to the northern border of the Blue Hills Reservation in Milton leads. It was designed in the 19th century by landscape architect Charles Eliot and is now part of the Metropolitan Park System of Greater Boston . The Parkway is a road connecting the Blue Hills Reservation and Neponset River Reservation . In 2003, the street was added to the National Register of Historic Places as a Historic District .
