The Lynn Fells Parkway is a parkway in the state of Massachusetts in the United States . It begins at the end of the Fells Connector Parkways in Stoneham and runs through Melrose to Saugus , where it meets and ends on US Highway 1 . The road connects the Middlesex Fells Reservation and Breakheart Reservation .
The parkway was built in the 1900s, to which several former streets in Melrose were merged. It runs through Ell Pond Park and is famous for its avenue character in Melrose and Stoneham, where the trees form a real roof over the street. The parkway was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003. It is administered by the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) and is part of the Metropolitan Park System of Greater Boston .
