The area Quincy Shore Reservation is a State Park being trained Seashore in Quincy Bay in Boston Harbor in the city of Quincy in the state of Massachusetts of the United States , which has already been set 1899th The park is administered by the Department of Conservation and Recreation and is part of the Metropolitan Park System of Greater Boston .
The park's biggest attraction is a 2.3 mi (3.7 km ) long beach called Wollaston Beach , which is accessible along Quincy Shore Drive for its entire length . This makes the beach the largest of its kind in all of Boston Harbor. It was named after the Wollaston district in the immediate vicinity of the city of Quincy.
In the protected area is the hill Moswetuset Hummock , where the commander of the Plymouth Colony Myles Standish had the first contact with the Sachem Chickatawbut in 1621 . There is also the Caddy Park , a protected salt marsh with picnic facilities nearby.
