Quinn Cummings (born August 13, 1967 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American film actress and entrepreneur .
Life
Quinn Cummings was discovered by cameraman James Wong Howe at the age of eight and was first in front of the camera in 1975 in the short-lived sitcom Big Eddie . Her father Sumner Cummings, who was the president of a company specializing in the manufacture of ties , died of a heart attack in 1977 when she was only ten years old . Her mother is the film producer Jan Cummings.
In 1977, Cummings for her best-known film, The Goodbye ( The Goodbye Girl ) in front of the camera and in 1978 - just eleven - as previously fifth-youngest Mime for the Oscar in the category of Best Supporting Actress nomination. Only Justin Henry ( Kramer versus Kramer ), Jackie Cooper ( Skippy ), Tatum O'Neal ( Paper Moon ), who actually won the Academy Award, and Mary Badham ( Who disturbs the nightingale ) were younger than them . As a teenager, Cummings attended the University of California, Los Angeles , and worked as a casting agent for emerging screenwriters in the 1990s .
In June 2000, Quinn Cummings had a daughter, Anneke DiPietro. She lives with her and her child's father, her partner Donald DiPietro (* 1952), in Los Feliz , a district of Los Angeles. Her daughter's early life was why Cummings founded the HipHugger Company , a company that makes baby carriers for babies and toddlers. Today she is the company's President.
