The Río Osos flows through its entire length of fifty kilometers through the municipality Pojo in the province of Carrasco in the department of Cochabamba and flows into the Río Chimoré at the border with the municipality of Totora . The river has its source on the southern slopes of Cerro Sore Orkho in the Serranía de Khellu Loma in the Bolivian Voranden region . The Río Osos flows largely in a north-westerly direction, to the right of the river - also in a north-westerly direction - the Serranía de Iniricarsama .

Numerous small tributaries and streams flow from the southwest and northeast into the Río Osos, which, like the Serranía de Iniricarsama and the Serranía del Imajana to the west, belongs to the Carrasco National Park .
