Rio Chimoré is a left tributary of the Río Ichilo in Bolivia . Because of its large amount of water, it is often counted as the upper reaches of the Río Mamoré , which flows into the Amazon via the Rio Madeira .

The Rio Chimoré flows in its entire length through the province of Carrasco in the department of Cochabamba and flows into the Río Ichilo at the border with the department of Santa Cruz . The river has its source in the municipality of Pojo on the western slopes of Cerro Colorado in the Serranía de Khellu Loma in the Bolivian Voranden region . In the course of its first half, it flows through the Carrasco National Park in an approximately north-westerly direction, after 52 kilometers changes to the Municipio Totora and after another 31 kilometers to the Municipio Chimoré .

After about 95 kilometers, the river pivots in north-east direction and in the city Chimoré crosses at kilometer 105 from the single bridge on which the 1657 km long highway Ruta 4 of Tambo Quemado on the Chilean border over Cochabamba and Santa Cruz according Puerto Quijarro to the border with Brazil leads.

From kilometer 113 the river forms the border between the municipality of Chimoré in the north and the municipality of Puerto Villarroel in the south and flows into the Río Ichilo below the town of Puerto Villarroel . The course of the Río Ichilo below the mouth of the Río Chimore bears the name "Río Mamorecillo" in some sources, which joins the Río Chapare to the Río Mamoré downstream .
