Puerto Villarroel is a country town in the department of Cochabamba in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Puerto Villarroel is the central place of the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Puerto Villarroel in the province of Carrasco . The city is located at an altitude of 195  m on the left bank of the Río Ichilo , which flows into the Río Mamoré and this continues to the Amazon .

Puerto Villarroel is located in the Bolivian lowlands off the northern edge of the Cordillera Oriental . The climate is tropical with a pronounced time of day climate .

In Ivirgarzama, the asphalt road Ruta 15 , which is only 27 kilometers long, branches off in a north-easterly direction to Puerto Villarroel .
