Rüdiger Suchsland (* 1968 ) is a German film journalist , film critic and director .

life and work

Suchsland studied history and philosophy in Munich . After graduating, he worked as a freelance journalist, mainly for various culture departments. Since 1998 he has mainly worked in the field of film criticism. Among other things, he has worked as an author for the FAZ , the film-dienst , Telepolis , Deutschlandfunk , Die Welt , Frankfurter Rundschau , Berliner Zeitung , Jüdische Allgemeine and Rolling Stone . He has been an editor at artechock since 1997 . From 1998 to 2004 was followed by employees at the Munich Film Festival and since then the Film Festival Mannheim-Heidelberg and at the German Film Festival . He sits on the advisory board of the Association of German Film Critics .
