The R 512 ( Russian P 512 , the Cyrillic P corresponds to the Latin R) is a 47-kilometer regional road that crosses the Russian Kaliningrad Oblast ( Königsberg region (Prussia) ) in a north-south direction . It connects the Polessk Rajon ( Labiau district ) with the Gwardeisk Rajon ( Tapiau ) and the Prawdinsk Rajon ( Friedland (East Prussia) ) and the respective capitals; it is also a link between the trunk roads A 190 (former German Reichsstrasse 126 ), A 196 (former German Reichsstraße 131 ) and A 229 (former German Reichsstraße 1 , today also Europastraße 28 ) as well as the R 508 and R 514 .
