Raúl Horacio Scarrone Carrero
Raúl Horacio Scarrone Carrero (born April 18, 1931 in Montevideo ) is the former Bishop of Florida .
Life
Raúl Horacio Scarrone Carrero was ordained a priest on September 24, 1955 and was incardinated in the clergy of the Archdiocese of Montevideo .
Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Montevideo and titular bishop of Ulpiana on October 13, 1982 . The Archbishop of Montevideo, Carlos Parteli Keller , donated him episcopal ordination on December 12th of the same year; Co- consecrators were Roberto Reinaldo Cáceres González , Bishop of Melo , and José Gottardi Cristelli SDB , Auxiliary Bishop in Montevideo.
On June 15, 1987, he was named Bishop of Florida . On March 15, 2008, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
