Ra or Rah , also called Aya , is a small island of the Banks Islands in the north of the Pacific island state of Vanuatu .
The approximately 0.5 km² large island is located almost 100 meters off the southwest tip of the much larger island Mota Lava , with which it shares a common fringing reef . When the tide is low, it is possible to pass between the two islands on foot.
According to the 2009 census, Ra has 189 inhabitants.
