The Rabenlay , sometimes also Rabenley , is a mountain of the Ennert, which covers the Siebengebirge to the north . It is located to the east of the Oberkassel district of Bonn on the right-hand side of the Rhine . Its height is 180  m above sea level. NHN . It does not have a summit, but is an elevation above a striking rock face that was created as a quarry on the edge of the flat bank of the Rhine.

The Rabenlay is located in a nature reserve. The forest cover prevents water erosion, humus degradation and slows down the landslide processes.

Neighboring to the south-east are the Kuckstein elevations - which is often seen as part of the Rabenlay - and Paffelsberg , to the north the waters of Märchensee, Blauer See and Dornheckensee and the Röckesberg .

Until 1930 basalt was mined in the large basalt dike on the Rabenlay and the Kuckstein . There are several viewpoints on today's steep edge. At the beginning of 2017, the "Skywalk Rabenlay" viewing platform was built above the former Stingenberg quarry on the neighboring Kuckstein.
