Revenge in El Paso (original title: I senza Dio ) is a spaghetti western from 1972. The work, staged by Roberto Bianchi Montero , was shown for the first time in German-speaking countries on December 2, 1999 on private television.

action

The crook Corbancho raids the bank of El Paso. $ 15,000 is placed on his head. A robbery in Tucson that steals $ 400,000 and kills the bank manager is also credited to his account. Some see it differently, especially since a series of murders in the area is puzzling: There are the director's son, the El Santo named Roy MacFallow, the bounty hunter Minnesota Lorregan, the wealthy Barrett, his wife Jenny and sheriff Sam Ware. Minnesota, whose gambling debts are as high as the bounty on Corbancho, forms an alliance with Roy to investigate the death of his father: a scar on the back is said to reveal the culprit. When the sheriff puts El Santo in jail, he escapes with the help of a woman. Minnesota can meanwhile locate Corbancho, who reveals the names of the people behind it: Barrett, his wife and a stranger. El Santo and Minnesota convince the Barrett couple and the sheriff to visit the hiding place for the gold. There El Santo can kill them and get the gold. Minnesota turns out to be a government agent.

criticism

The lexicon of international films was not very enthusiastic: “The well-known story - two men work together for different reasons to achieve the same goal - in an average spaghetti western.” Christian Keßler judges similarly : “Roberto Bianchi Montero has this film under control. It is a no-frills average Westerner who deviates from the path of virtue neither in a positive nor in a negative sense. " .

Remarks

The Italian gross profit was well below average 75 million lire .

The soundtrack was released on CD together with that of Pagò cara su muerte .
