Radmer an der Hasel is a cadastral community and a village in the Radmer community in the Leoben district , Styria. Radmer an der Hasel lies at an altitude of 898 m above sea level. A. , is the last section of the Radmer Valley and ends in a dead end. The local people themselves also divide the Radmer municipality into Vorderradmer (Radmer an der Stube) and Hinterradmer (Radmer an der Hasel).
From there you can start extensive mountain and hiking tours. The most popular alpine pastures are the "Kammerlalm", which can be reached on foot in about an hour if you are in a normal condition. To “Seekar” as well as “Neuburgalm” and “Schafbödn” you should allow between 2 and 4 hours of walking. The alpine pastures can be reached via the well-tended forest roads, but also on marked hiking trails through the forest.
All alpine pastures are open from mid-May to 15 September, depending on the snow conditions. The alpine season ends on September 15th every year with the popular Almabtrieb in the Hinterradmer (Radmer an der Hasel).
In winter, the Hinterradmer is the starting point for touring skiers and snowshoe hikers.
There is also a copper mine in Hinterradmer, which was revitalized by some locals in more than 8,000 hours of voluntary work. You can explore the “Paradeisstollen” with the smallest tunnel in Austria.
