Rafael Amador y Hernández (born February 2, 1856 in Chila , Puebla , Mexico , † June 3, 1923 in Huajuapan de León , Oaxaca ) was Bishop of Huajuapan de León .

Life

Rafael Amador y Hernández studied Catholic theology and philosophy at the seminary in Guadalajara . Amador y Hernández received on September 19, 1885 sacrament of Holy Orders .

On March 27, 1903, Pope Leo XIII appointed him . first bishop of Mixtecas (later Huajuapan de León). The Archbishop of Antequera , Eulogio Gregorio Clemente Gillow y Zavalza , gave him episcopal ordination on June 29 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Cuernavaca , Francisco Plancarte y Navarrette , and the Bishop of Tulancingo , José Mora y del Rio . The inauguration took place on August 9, 1903.
