Rafael Marques Pinto (born September 21, 1983 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a Brazilian football player . The central defender's strong foot is the right.

Career

Rafael started his career at Botafogo FR in Rio de Janeiro . Here, however, the player did not make the leap into the professional squad. For the 2003 season, the player was loaned to Brasiliense FC . In the following year he returned to his home club and played for them in the first league games in the Série A in 2004 . Rafael also made his first appearance at international club level for Botafogo. As part of the Copa Sudamericana 2006 he played on September 7th against Fluminense FC .

After holding positions at various top division clubs, Rafael moved to Hellas Verona in Italy during the 2013 summer break . After only two seasons, he returned to Brazil in the summer of 2015, where he found a job with Coritiba FC . Another change was announced on July 4, 2016. Rafael went to the CR Vasco da Gama . With the club he played in Série B that year and in 2017 in Série A. After that, he initially closed no further contract. In November 2018, Boavista SC announced that Rafael had signed a contract for the games in the 2019 Rio de Janeiro State Cup .
