Rafael Sóbis (born June 17, 1985 in Erechim , Brazil ; actually Rafael Augusto Sóbis ) is a Brazilian football player . The right foot is mainly used as a center forward. Since January 2019 he has been playing for Internacional Porto Alegre .

Career

Rafael Sóbis started his career with the Brazilian club Internacional Porto Alegre . After going through all the club's posts in his youth, he started his first professional career in 2004. In his first season as a professional he impressed with his performances and was voted into the storm of the eleven of the year in Brazil in 2005 . In the summer of 2006, some European teams showed interest in the former U-21 international. After VfL Wolfsburg, among others, had already negotiated with the player, he decided to move to Spain , to Real Betis Sevilla . The Spaniards transferred € 8.5 million for this. At the end of the transfer window of the 2008/09 season, Sobis moved to Al-Jazira Club in the United Arab Emirates and played there for the next two years. In June 2010 he returned to Internacional Porto Alegre and won the Copa Libertadores for the second time since 2006 .

In January 2019, Sóbis moved from Cruzeiro to his old place of work Internacional.

National team

Sóbis came in the Junior World Cup in 2005 to seven appearances for Brazil and scored one goal. At the 2008 Olympics , he won the bronze medal with Brazil.
