Rainer Fiegle

Rainer Fiegle (* 1949 ) is a German major general a. D. the Bundeswehr .

From 1981 to 1983 he took part in the general staff course (L) at the leadership academy of the Bundeswehr (FüAkBw) in Hamburg. As a major i. G. was an air force attaché in the German embassy in Prague in the 1980s . From 1995 to 1997 he was commander of radar guidance department 22 in Meßstetten. After further uses, Colonel i. G. Fiegle Deputy Head of Staff and 2001/02 Commander of the Air Force Command Service (LwFüDstKdo) in Cologne-Wahn. Afterwards he was head of the central department of the air force in the command staff of the air force (Fü L) in Bonn and as brigadier general (from 2004) deputy of the commander and chief of the staff command operational command air force (KdoOpFüLuSK) under Lieutenant General Hans-Joachim Schubert in Kalkar. Most recently, from 2005 to 2009, he was deputy commander and chief of staff, operational command, intervention forces (KdoOpFüEingrKr) under Lieutenant General Wolf-Dieter Langheld in Ulm. In 2009 he was involved in the establishment of the Bundeswehr-Wirtschaft (BzBwWi) advice center in Koblenz . In the same year, 2009, the major general retired.

Since 2011 he has been the successor of Major General a. D. Ekkehard Richter Chairman of the Advisory Board on Voluntary Reservist Work at the Association of Reservists of the German Federal Armed Forces . V. (VdRBw). In 2014 he was also elected general rapporteur of the Standing Committee on European Affairs (SCEA) of the World Veterans Federation (WVF). The Advisory Board for Reservist Work and the German Armed Forces Association had already been accepted into the WVF in 2012; Fiegle acted as the German head of the delegation in Amman .

Fiegle is married. In 2009 he was awarded the Medal of Honor of the Catholic Military Chaplaincy. He is currently President of the Rotary Club Berlin-Schloss-Köpenick.
